One of the best books i ever have read is Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World.I like the novels by Murakami, but this is maybe the best of his books. And when I was reading this book I could hear an old Irish Folk Song one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs in the English language: Danny Boy. There exist so many different verses, over 100 as I could read, and from different lyricists. So this song has an own and very special history and yes, it is a very special anthem.
