View from the Zugspitze, German Alps

The Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany, in the south near the border of Austria an 2962 m high. Here you can see the view to the south to Austria and Italy. In the foreground you see the Zugspitz glacier.

This is my backyard! (I live in Garmisch-Partenkirchen). It's a wonderful place--I've even stayed in an igloo up there!
